CEO and CFO Sheldon Lavin has a background in accounting and finance. He always dreamed of working for a business that he owned. He got his start by financing the first meat processing plant in West Chicago, Illinois. The company was called Otto & Sons and was later changed to OSI Industries. After his continued involvement, he later was able to become an owner. Sheldon Lavin’s focus from the very beginning was to grow the company into a world class empire in the food processing industry. Sheldon has always run the business like a family with no dictatorship. He takes pride in the fact that his employees are talented and loyal. He believes that without them, OSI wouldn’t be the success it is today. Lavin is also very philanthropic with a passion for giving back to the communities.
